Sunsetting weekly OPML files

Why weekly OPML outlines are no longer shipped with the course.

I am sunsetting weekly OPML deliverables for this project: I will not be adding a fresh OPML file inside the course on a weekly basis going forward.

There are two main reasons:

  1. Limited uptake. From what I can see, there simply has not been much interest in the OPML files compared with browsing the site and the other course material.

  2. Maintenance cost as the archive grows. If I continue to expand the site with more podcast weeks, keeping OPML trees accurate means editing large outlines in place—merging new episodes and weeks into existing files without breaking importers or peoples’ bookmarks. That work does not scale as cleanly as regenerating HTML pages from source.

What stays the same: The weekly hubs, per-episode pages, categories, and the course hub for Weekly summaries for non technical AI podcasts remain the primary surfaces for summaries and insights. Anything that used to point you at “download this week’s OPML” should be read in that light: the site (preview and full) is the durable, up-to-date view.

If you relied on OPML in Dynalist or another outliner, you can keep using any files you already downloaded; there will simply not be a new file every week from here on.
