The first reason why Notion is the best app to learn agentic AI, especially if you are not a programmer is that it actually lowers the barrier to learning the subject ok. Now the first thing is that you will actually be able to define what an AI agent is by going through this course, but also just by using Notion AI you will find that you can do certain things which you can clearly see that the output or the outcome is a result of agentic AI ok. Now I am writing this in October 2025 and or rather recording this and you can see that in September 2025 which is just about a month back Simon Willison who is a prolific blogger on this topic of large language models and AI agents and all that, he actually wrote that I think agent may finally have a widely enough agreed upon definition to be useful jargon and that is the definition is that it is an LLM agent, an LLM agent is something that runs tools in a loop to achieve a goal and that is exactly what we are going to be looking at later on in the course ok.
(1:15 – 3:09)
And the other thing is that Notion allows you to learn agentic AI on a fixed budget, it is not free in fact if you want to go through this course you have to subscribe to the I guess the paid version which is like one level above the lowest paid version and because you get all the features included when you do that, but once you pay for that the you can do this just by paying for a month of access ok, you if you just want to learn and then move on you can just you like for one month access and do the whole course, but the basic thing is you can experiment to your heart’s content ok and you do not have to worry about overrunning your budget ok, because there is like no budget in that sense it is just you have already prepaid for access for the whole month ok. Now that does not mean that you have unlimited resources, what it means is that Notion in the background is taking care of rationing your request, so that you cannot exceed certain usage limits ok, but even within those limits there is a lot of stuff that you can do and that is what you are going to learn ok. And the third reason is that Notion began its life as a note taking tool, now I will say that note taking tools are useful for pretty much there is like hardly anyone who does not use a note taking tool if they are doing knowledge work and if the type of note taking tool might differ you know, but they still if you are working with documents etc you probably have a note taking tool right and because Notion started its life as a note taking tool, it is built its AI around the concept of this note taking instead of the other way around they did not build an AI agent which also allows you to take notes ok.
(3:09 – 3:51)
Because of this reason you will find that there are situations where the agentic actions just they produce better results, because whatever is created is not just you know an end result of agentic work, but it is also something that looks nice, it reads well, it looks like a professional polished software even if there had been no AI involved ok, which is very important if you want to drive more user adoption right. So, in all these ways I will say that Notion lowers the barrier to for people who are trying to learn this agentic AI subject.
What you will learn in the course:
- why Notion is the best app for learning agentic AI on a budget
- is Notion AI Summary Search agentic?
- the difference between agentic and non-agentic AI
- how to use Notion AI Agents to build an active learning system which will help you retain more of what you learn online
- if you watch educational videos on YouTube, this system will easily increase the return on your time investment
- some examples which prove that AI Agents are still somewhat overhyped (and why you still need to verify their outputs)
- the limitations of Notion AI Agents
